Cooperative Board Games

in Cooperative, Date Night In, Free

There are competitive board games where you play against each other, and then there are cooperative board games where you play WITH each other to win!

For Cooperative Board Game Night, pickup your favorite game where you play together as a team, for example against the clock or against the deck.

You can enjoy coop board game night in together or… Make a night out of it! Grab you favorite board game box under one arm, your partner in the other, and head off to a local pub for pints and games together.

Favorite Cooperative Board Games

Some of our favorite cooperative board games include:

Hanabi

Hanabi (花火, Japanese for “Fireworks”) is a great coop game where hold your cards so your partner can see them but not you. You provide hints to each other about what card to play by color or number. Complete all of the fireworks before running out of cards and you two win!

Forbidden Island

Dare to discover Forbidden Island! You two fearless adventurers are on a do-or-die mission to capture four sacred treasures from the ruins of this perilous paradise. You’ll work together and make some pulse-pounding maneuvers as the island sinks beneath every step! Race to collect the treasures and make a triumphant escape before you are swallowed into the watery abyss!

Pandemic

Prevent a Pandemic! Contain the outbreak! You and your disease fighting specialist partner are out to treat four plagues spreading across the globe. Work together using your specializations to treat disease hotspots and develop all four of the cures before the viruses take over the world!

Space Team (for Double Date Night)

Unlike many games that start as a board game and then become a mobile app, Space Team started out as a mobile app and then became a hit sensation game. In Space Team, you and your team are trying to solve various malfunctions in your space ship and handle random anomalies as you get your ship online before the timer runs out. This is a loud, fast-paced, helmet-fire inducing, and fun game. Note that this is best to play with 3-6 players, so keep this one for double/triple date night!
